Bucharest Weekend Vibes: 11 - 13 October


Prepare for the white nights ahead of you. Free entrance to many local galleries and cultural hubs for some special nights dedicated to the creative industries.

Main events happening all through the weekend:

Dichisar Autumn Edition

Meet this Saturday and Sunday more than 90 local designers at Impact Hub Bucharest. Dichisar is the largest handmade and design fair in Bucharest, open 10.00 to 20.00 over this weekend.

Dichisar is the meeting place for lovers of alternative shopping, passionate about handmade objects, fashion, design, contemporary jewelry and accessories, handmade cosmetics and decorations.

Tickets cost 10 lei and will be available at the entrance

An Autumn Festival in Herastrau

This is mostly about food, a traditional culinary feast created in pure Romanian spirit. Saturday and Sunday Beraria H is cooking outdoors, on their terrace, from 10.00 to 23.00.

Many surprises awaiting: half a ton of beans with pork prepared live in a giant pot, home made jam us & many more, boiled plum brandy and wine. Free entrance.

Diploma 2019

DIPLOMA Festival presents to the general public a new generation of over 120 Romanian creatives, selected by the members of the creative board of the festival from several hundred works submitted.

The festival includes a series of exhibitions, structured on several fields, such as Architecture, Interior Design, Urbanism, Graphic Design, Industrial Design and Object Design, Fashion, Painting, Sculpture, Mural Art, Textile Arts, Ceramics - Glass - Metal, Graphics or Photo-Video.

DIPLOMA will take place between October 11 and 20, 2019, in Bucharest, in the historic monument building on Str. C. A. Rosetti no. 3 (former Cina restaurant). Access is free. See the full schedule in the Fb event below.

FRIDAY - 11 October

09.00 - 16.00 Open doors days at the Ministry of Agriculture (address)

Visit the 19th century palace of the Ministry of Agriculture located right in University square, learn its history, and get the chance to buy athentic local products from ertified producers.

18.00 - 04.00 White Night of Galleries in Bucharest

Once a year galleries open their doors to the wide public and welcome everyone, free of charge, for an unfrgetable night of creative exhibitions, installations and acts.

SATURDAY - 12 October

19.30 - 23.59 White night of open Synagogues at 4 different locations

Learn about the rich history of the local Jewish community by attending events at the open Synagogues: music, movies, dances and exhibitions planned, find more details in the Fb event.

21.00 - 23.30 Short Film Marathon at Unteatru (address)

Short movies from 10 different countries, free entrance, the movies will be subtitled in English. Register online in advance if you want to join the event.

SUNDAY - 13 October

16.00 - 19.30 Go!Bananas Acting Workshop at Beat bar (address)

Join a lazy-weekend to set up your social persona. Do simple acting games, but in hi-def. Non-Romanian speakers are welcomed, case in which the workshop will be in English and all participants notified. Participation fee: 50 lei

20.00 - 22.00 UMAMI * free-jazz/ experimental at Apollo 111 (address)

UMAMI is a free-jazz, improvized music and third-stream project, in which musicians express through spontaneos compositions and improvization. The group was formed 2016 by a Romanian guitarist.
