Bucharest Weekend Vibes : 7 - 9 June


June is completely taken over by fun initiatives. Local summer festivals launch first or new editions and the summer buzz is everywhere around the city!

Make sure to check both sections of the article to discover the best events to attend over the following days: the first section is highlighting festivals and ongoing events happening throughout the weekend and the second one is showing independent events for each day.

Main events happening all through the weekend:

The Plot workshops at Street Delivery Quinet

Street festival happening from 7th until 9th of June on Edgar Quinet street.

10 AM to 18 PM the parking spaces on Edgar Quinet street will be replaced by creative workshops, expanding within the inner courtyard of Ion Mincu University of Architecture and Urbanism.

The entire area will become a play-area for Do-It-Yourself (DIY) activities dedicated participants of all ages.

All workshops are free and designed to inspire you in future-maker activities:

- T-Shirt Workshop - personalize your favorite T-shirt

- Laser Cutting Workshop

- 3D Print Workshop

"Nostalgia" party in the street

Get the vintage summer vibes from this big holiday celebration for party-people nostalgic about the high school times. The music, setting and concept are recreating the 90s experience

LOCATION: Calea Victoriei 17. In the street until 23:00. In Interbelic until the morning. DATE: June 6 - June 9 HOUR: every day, starting at 18:00 DRESS CODE: Nostalgia

Nostalgia support: Friday and Saturday - 25 lei, Sunday - free entrance Tickets can be purchased on the evening of the event at the entrance.

Festival at the Estate - La Moșie

1st edition of the festival is celebrating the collaboration between Corbeanca Estate and the Vinyl, Rum, Tapas & Wine party engine.

Satuday and Sunday from 10.00 to 22.30 the estate will welcome all guests with music, food, theatre, worshops (pottery, slime and plasticine, theatre, magic and ice cream)

Children and adolescents (under 18) get free entrance but must be accompanied by adults.

FRIDAY - 7 June

16.30 - 18.30 Inauguration of the Museum of Jewsih History and Culture at Holy Union Temple (click here to see the address)

After a five-year break, the museum officially reopens. The Museum of History and Culture of the Jews in Romania "Dr. Nicolae Cajal " will vernise the Pinacoteca of the Federation of Jewish Communities in Romania.

20.00 - 21.00 Zic-Zac play at Point (click here to see the address)

An original show, with several theatre awards received. Find the trailer of the coregraphic / music show on the ticket page. One ticket costs 50 lei

SATURDAY - 8 June

14.00 - 23.00 The Fresh in the Garden at Playa Verde (click here to see the address)

The third edition of the mini-festival takes place in a natural setting right on the edge of StrauleÅŸti Lake. Live music, food trucks, open swimming pool and a large garden guaranteed - tickets cost 59 lei

For those who like listening to jazz vinyls in a relaxed atmosphere, the audition will highlight the music of Chet Baker and Dave Brubeck with shades of soul, funk, groove plus a twist of improvisation - free entrance

SUNDAY - 9 June

14.00 - 15.30 Bollywood Dance Workshop at Casa Universitarilor (click here to see the address)

Attend Namaste India Festival and learn a choreography that addresses all ages and is fit for both ladies and gentlemen. The access is free of charge. You need comfortable clothes and shoes and the desire to have fun.

16.00 - 21.00 Night of Nightingale at Botanical Garden (click here to see the address)

Guided tours of the garden start at 16 o'clock, aiming to find the singing birds. Pro Nobile instrumental band will perform works by Mozart, Enescu, Bach on the Italian lawn, starting 19 o'clock.

The event is free of charge, but the entrance to the Botanical Garden is mandatory (10 lei)
